South Jersey Fly Fishers

The South Jersey Fly Fishers again this year participated at the Youth Outdoor Day sponsored by the Salem County Sportsmen's Club. Over 150 children along with their families participated in this year's event. The children were given the opportunity to try numerous outdoor activities including archery, shooting, and fishing. The South Jersey Fly Fishers introduced fly casting and fly tying. Also participants were given the opportunity to win a fly rod outfit. Many thanks to the members who helped with this event: Jerry Sanker,  Kip Heiny,  Jim Temmermand, Art Ebert, Richard Eppinger, Freda Earnest, Joe Soma, Chris Sulik,  Dave Chesnutt, and Bruce & Nancy Mitchell.

Doug Janiec from White Clay Outfitters teaching the group how to tie one of his fly patterns. During the winter months this is a very interesting activity. All members are welcome and it is a chance to learn to tie many types of flies and talk about fly fishing.
